My Perfect Match

I've mentioned it once before, but I love watching reality love shows. Whether it's The Bachelor, Are You The One, Married at First Sight, any of them really. It may be because of the drama that you get to witness, and the "reality" of it, but every once in a while you see something on these shows. You see the true feelings people might have. They speak about their match, and their true love, and there is something about the way their eyes look that show you, past all of the scripting of the shows, there is an actual sliver of reality. You know someone is hurting when you can feel and understand the tears they cry. Or feel the butterflies with your actual partner with the way they describe their feelings. It's funny because I honestly believe Marc and I are meant to be together. Fate really happened. No matter what would have happened, I know for a fact he is my soul mate. I will never have a connection with someone the way I do with him. Maybe it's the way we are able to understand our love for each other simply by staring into each others eyes (cheesy but true), how we comfort each other the way no one else can, or the way we are able to make jokes out of things no one else would find funny. If we did not go to the same high school, I know we would have happened. The shows I mentioned are completely formed by match makers, and if Marc and I had the chance to enter any single love reality show, I know we would be paired. We are very different, and that is apparent. But looking at our differences, one always has what the other doesn't. We never lack something that we need. And when it comes to our similarities, we gel like there is no tomorrow. These shows and match makers always tell you to go not only for what you need, but what you want, and Marc is both for me. He pushes me when I'm giving up, comforts me when I feel down, and makes me laugh harder than anyone I know (even if he isn't funny). Marc has always and will always be my perfect match. My one.

With love always,
Becca Colón

P.s. If my perfect match was standing right in front of me would I even know? Ummmmm yeaahhh! I spotted him from 50 feet away and knew he was the one.
